About Elections Manitoba
Elections Manitoba is the office of the Chief Electoral Officer of Manitoba. The responsibilities of the office are as follows:
- operate free of political influence
- conduct Manitoba's provincial elections, by-elections and referendums
- ensure all eligible citizens have the opportunity to vote
- promote public awareness of voting and the electoral process
- help political participants comply with election rules
- put The Elections Act and The Election Financing Act into action
- recommend improvements to existing legislation
Elections Manitoba also provides research and administrative support to Manitoba's Electoral Divisions Boundaries Commission.

To ensure the democratic rights of all Manitobans through the conduct of free and fair elections, by ensuring compliance with political financing laws and by enhancing public confidence in and awareness of the electoral process.

The Chief Electoral Officer administers provincial elections to ensure they are fair and free of political influence as set out in The Elections Act and The Election Financing Act . The CEO reports to the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, and the CEO cannot be a member of a political party or vote in an election.

Elections Manitoba is headed by the Chief Electoral Officer who is assisted by the Deputy Chief Electoral Officer. Returning officers (ROs) manage the election at the electoral division level and are your main contact for information and assistance during an election.
